Casa Cody

The grounds are lovely, with citrus trees that we used to make fresh juice each morning. We stayed in a one-bed suite with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive. This was one of our most relaxing and enjoyable stays in recent memory, a little oasis amid downtown’s busyness and the occasional chaos of kids’ sports travel. It felt like a fun, relaxing home away from home.

The whole place has such good energy, and I loved being there. It’s gorgeous, with so many little corners you can’t help photographing. The rooms were super clean, the bed was comfortable, and it all felt quiet and peaceful. I also loved the unique snack bar, such a fun touch. The food was amazing, especially the caesar salad and chia pudding. Even the included breakfast was surprisingly high quality. The staff were the best, and Emily was incredible, so helpful and full of good recommendations. We ended up lingering to chat because she’s the sweetest. I’ll definitely be back.

The breakfast was a nice continental spread: Greek yogurt, granola, mixed berries, sliced watermelon, pineapple and cantaloupe, plain and chocolate croissants, coffee, and juices. The hotel is well located for walking to the center of town and lots of restaurants. This was our first stay at Casa Cody, and the staff were friendly and responsive. We were lucky to be upgraded to the Winter’s House, with its own kitchen and dining room. The private backyard tub was a fun feature. The room was very nice, though the plumbing is a bit dated, so don’t be surprised if you get wet turning on the shower. Rooms vary quite a lot. The standard Studios look quite small, and there was a couple in a room that would otherwise have been a connecting room, with no sound privacy at all. I’m not sure I’d want to stay in one of those Studios.

Great location, family and dog friendly, with a cute pool, good food, and a really relaxing feel. I just wish they had a kitchen. They don’t have many basics like plates, a knife, dish soap, or a sponge, and there’s no laundry.
