Casitas Del Monte

Very nice, with a Vintage Palm springs feel ◉⁠‿⁠◉. The resort has poolside grills that were cleaned every morning, and the rooms are 1600 ft², cleaner than clean, with fully stocked kitchens and a refrigerator with an ice maker!!!!

Casitas del Monte was one of my favorite places, without a doubt. The property was clean and neat, in a super quiet and relaxing location. The casitas are spacious, well equipped, and clean. Mine had two rooms, two full bathrooms, two walk-in closets, a big living room, a kitchen and dining room, and a private balcony. There’s no free parking. You have to pay $25×night or leave your car on the street, which is secure and quiet.

The big living space, equipped kitchen, and hot tub were the best parts. Each unit is huge inside, with a large kitchen and all the tools and appliances, plus a big living room and large patio. It’s a timeshare complex that used to be apartments. The pool and hot tub were great. You need a car to shop and get around. Parking spaces are congested, though street parking is free. Staff were friendly, but we were there over Christmas, during the off period. Rooms aren’t serviced for 8 days. It’s a quiet location away from the scene, but internet is sparse because of the mountain ridge. Ceiling noise was loud, and the sinks are low.

The unit itself was very dated and extremely worn out, and that made it hard to enjoy the stay. Our unit, number six, was clean, but the carpet was stained, dirty, and smelled. The kitchen wasn’t well stocked, the beds were extremely uncomfortable, and the day after check-in I looked for the bathroom garbage and found it under the sink, still full of the previous guests’ trash. Check-in was disorganized and cluttered. The person who checked us in seemed confused, and it took a long time. At one point they referenced the Bates motel, which wasn’t very reassuring.
