Travelodge Palm Springs

We were there for just one night, and our belongings, including important documents, got soaked when water from the walkway washing flooded into our room. The response was a very minimal apology, with no real help or compensation. We were simply told to leave the documents in the sun to dry. Completely unacceptable. I can’t recommend this place.

I paid over $200 for one night after my flight was canceled, and this may be the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. Chopped-up bits of carpet were laid along the walkways, and the toilet didn’t work at all. I had to use a bucket to make it flush. There was exposed electrical wiring. Nearly all the lights had no bulbs, and the one in the bathroom was wired in a sketchy way to a timer for no clear reason. The so-called mirror on the wall was an old sliding closet door. The TV barely worked, and the water from the pipes came out deep, cloudy white and never settled like tap water sometimes does. This place needs major work before charging those nightly rates. What a waste of money. I wish I’d gotten a refund.

They took a $100 cash deposit, but when I tried to check out at 8am, the receptionist said he didn’t have it. I was told to wait and mess up my whole schedule to get my own deposit back, or leave without it. Then he said I was giving him a hard time, kicked me out of reception, said he didn’t want to hear my mouth, and told me I should watch myself. Disgraceful service, on top of constant construction work and police visits.

Steven at the front desk alone would be enough to bring me back. Everyone working here was helpful and nice, and I really enjoyed my stay 💕
