Abby's Place

Watching the Northern Lights from the backyard was the highlight. The owners called me down when they appeared, and the purple and green colors were amazing. Palmer also worked well as a base for side trips, about 45 minutes north of Anchorage, 25 minutes from Hatcher Pass, and three hours from Denali. I spent three weeks in Alaska, and Abby's Place was easily my best stay. The B&B had just opened in June 2017, and the rooms were spacious, each with its own bathroom. My bed was so comfortable I slept better than I had in years. The house is beautiful, with a big yard to sit and read in warmer weather, and I felt very safe there. The owners built the place and live on site. They were two of the nicest people, and it felt like staying with relatives. At check-in they asked what I wanted for breakfast the next morning. I had French toast, plus fresh fruit, yogurt, juice, and coffee. A beautiful, welcoming place. I'd recommend Abby's Place to anyone traveling to Alaska.

I was traveling alone and felt very safe here. The hosts made the place feel cozy and welcoming, almost like family, and gave each guest personal attention. My room was clean and comfortable, with its own bath area, and the view was wonderful. I visited in September and would gladly return when I'm in Wasilla again. My only complaint is that I couldn't stay longer. Thanks, Tim & Felicia, for being so welcoming.

We used Abby’s Place as our base for 10 days and really enjoyed getting to know Tim and Felicia, along with the other guests. Breakfast was different every day and always great. We also got to see Moose on the property almost daily. The place was quiet and comfortable, with everything we wanted. We had such a lovely time and will definitely stay again. We'd recommend it to anyone visiting Alaska. Tim and Felicia, you're always welcome to visit us on the East Coast!

The location worked out perfectly for us, between Palmer and Wasilla and close to the highway for a quick drive to Anchorage. The owners were so friendly, and the house itself is amazing. It's the most beautiful place I've stayed. I'd book again without hesitation, 20/10.
