Palmetto Marriott Resort & Spa

Nicole behind the bar made the best mojitos I’ve ever had, 10/10, and her frozen margaritas were amazing too (wink). She’s a real sweetheart. Moe was so kind and helpful, and we loved chatting with him whenever we could. The whole staff was cheerful and friendly during our stay. We were there with a wedding group, and the food was outstanding, from breakfast and lunch to the rehearsal dinner. We had such a great experience and will definitely stay here again when we visit our friends in FL.

We spent five days at the Palmetto Marriott resort and loved the food at every place we tried: Oyster River, the pool, the Social, and the M Club. All were fantastic. I asked to speak with food and beverage manager Joey Urgo so we could tell him how much we appreciated it. He was gracious and said that great food and service are important to a property's success. When I asked staff at each spot if they liked working at the Palmetto, they smiled and pointed to Joey as a positive, encouraging person to work for. As a lifetime Marriott platinum member, I’ve stayed at many properties over the years, and this one was great in a lot of ways. I’d encourage people to stay at the Palmetto Marriott.

We had a fun girls’ weekend here. Both pool areas were enjoyable, with different vibes: one by the hotel and another at the beach club, where they bring in sand. The rooms were thoughtfully designed, and the property felt clean and new. Staff were friendly too, especially Moe and Adam. Oyster River on the top floor is a must, especially if you book dinner around sunset. The only small downside was that the intersection makes it hard to walk to places nearby, though it wasn’t a big deal. Parking in the area was easy.

We were there for a convention and the bar and restaurant were packed, but service was still painfully slow. At 9 pm, after waiting 30 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us, we gave up and got takeout somewhere else. Every time I checked the M Club, there was nothing out, so it wasn’t worth it. The nightly rate is really expensive for what you get, even though the rooms are new and beautiful and the resort itself is nice.
