Best Western Palmyra Inn & Suites

The employees were the best part of my stay, everyone was really friendly. The rooms are simple and clean, and the hot tub is amazing. A nice place to spend time with friends or family.

The location is great, and the evening staff were friendly, but I won't be coming back. My room was beat up and dusty, with broken molding left beside the spot where it needed repair. There seemed to be drain flies, too. The lighting was poor, which made it easier to miss the worn walls and furniture. The gym equipment didn't work, and the staff didn't know how to operate or fix it. There's only one chair at the table, which isn't enough seating if you're sharing one of the two-queen rooms. The online pictures looked great, but my room didn't.

The location was quiet and peaceful, and my room was clean and well stocked. Staff were helpful and available whenever we needed something. It was a great stay.

I usually leave positive reviews, but this was bad enough that I want to warn people away. We booked the jacuzzi room for two nights at the very end of December and paid $321.84. Check-in was at 3 p.m.; we arrived shortly after and were told the room wasn't ready. We waited calmly for 20-30 minutes. The elderly man checking us in said the tub should be clean, but to let them know if it wasn't. When we got in, there were still hairs in it, and there was no hand soap. We told the clerk, who sent us to find the staff ourselves somewhere in the building instead of calling them. He seemed more interested in the football game than his job. A few hours at most after arriving, while we were lying in bed, mystery water started dripping on me from the ceiling. We didn't make a scene. We recorded the leak, told the clerk why we were leaving, and were told to expect a refund that Friday. If we had gotten our money back, I wasn't even planning to post a negative review. The video mattered because the hotel later said maintenance hadn't found a leak in the room. Weeks and several emails later, after the district manager first said they couldn't refund us but could offer a free night, corporate finally said they'd refund us, but we got only $100 of the $321.84. Even if they wanted to charge us for the few hours we were there, those hours in that gross room were awful. I'm disgusted with Best Western for how they treated us and how it felt like they tried everything to keep our money for a service they didn't provide. More like WORST WESTERN.
