Fairway Inn

The staff were really, really nice. The owner lives on site and has a 16 old son who helps in the office. The son was so nice and professional. The owner isn’t extremely sociable, but he’s receptive when you ask for anything for your room, and he has a very pleasant demeanor. The housekeeping staff worked hard, spoke respectfully to guests, and never refused when I asked for extra linen. My kids kept swimming in the very clear, clean pool, so I needed fresh linen at least twice a day. The property was clean and well maintained, the room and linen were very clean, and the floors are hardwood and kept up well. The beds weren’t very soft and the pillows were cheap, LOL. This is not the Hilton, or even Motel 6, but I’d definitely stay again. This is a NOT a FAKE review.

The rooms are very small, and this place was overpriced and terribly rude and unprofessional. We were told checkout was at 10 am, but they came to our door at 7 AM telling us to pay or get out, then knocked again at 8 am. When we were checking out in pouring rain, the clerk tried to charge us for water on the floor from opening the door to carry out our luggage. I paid by credit card over the phone after checking in late, but they refused to check us in when we arrived. We had to get the manager called in, and even then waited 15 minutes because of confusion. They charged us 369 for 3 days, though over the phone they’d quoted 90 and tax per night.

I had a comfortable stay, with a big, clean room and a fridge and freezer available, which I loved. The staff were nice too. I’d definitely stay here again.

The room was so hot and noisy I managed only 3 hours of sleep. Gaps around the door and AC unit let the heat in, and I could hear every car passing on the highway. The bed was ridiculously uncomfortable, so I slept on top of the sheets with a blanket I bought at a gas station. The tub was rusted out and creaked. I found 2 roaches in the room and nats in the bed. I showed the manager pictures and explained what was wrong. She yelled at me and said she wouldn’t refund me because I hadn’t complained at 5am when I checked in, but had waited until 9am. Incredibly rude and inconsiderate. I wanted to give Fairway In a chance and severely regret it. I do not recommend anyone go here. This was absolutely the worst motel I have ever been to. If I could give Fairway In no stars, I would.
