It was quiet, and check-in was across the street with a nice lady. The room had a faint mix of cigarette smoke and perfume. Maybe it was the off season, but the coffee maker was dusty and came with one regular pod and three decaf ones. The TV was acting up, and I couldn't turn it off with the remote. There were lots of little signs warning about fees, including $20 for a lost key, even though they were cheap keycards, not regular keys. The cleaning item called "The Rag" was weird.

We had a clean room with two queen beds and plenty of space. The staff were friendly and checked that everything was okay. It's an older motel, and there was some mold in the shower grout. The location on the main road at the north end of Panguitch is convenient. We'd choose this over the overpriced places near Bryce Canyon.

Chris, our host, was especially friendly and gave us great service. The room was a pleasant surprise, with three beds and lots of clean, comfortable space. It was very affordable for what we got. There was an outdoor area where we could cook breakfast on our stove, and the room had a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Downtown, with a few restaurants, is walkable. I'd stay here again for Bryce Canyon or other nearby destinations.

The bathroom was dirty, with mold on the walls and ceiling, and the toilet hadn't been cleaned. There was even a small piece of uncooked Ramen noodle under the seat. The walls and handles were dirty too. The sheets had clearly been reused and remade, with human hair and body marks on them. When we showed the host the sheets, he made excuses and suggested we might not be honest because we hadn't complained three hours earlier at check-in. We asked for a refund, and he told us we could leave, at 10:30 at night. Cheap or not, a hotel should be clean. Shocking. I don't recommend staying here. Turn around and go down the street.

We left within two hours because there was hair of different lengths on the bed, shower, and walls. The manager made little effort to deal with it and offered a lint roller instead. When we asked for fresh sheets, they seemed surprised before going to get some, as if the plan had been to roll the hair off the pillow and sheet. I've stayed in places all over the world and have never seen such disregard for cleanliness. Changing sheets between guests is the bare minimum, and this is exactly how bedbugs happen. They refused a refund and didn't return calls when we tried to sort it out. Avoid this place. Another motel down the street was perfectly fine.
