The beds were cozy, the showers spacious, and some rooms have door chains for extra security. All the rooms are inside the building, with cameras throughout. The one problem was staff knocking on doors around 9:45 a.m., calling out “ROOM SERVICE” and asking whether you'd pay or check out, even though checkout is at 11. It's a good place to stay if you're gone before then.

The room did have a new TV, but the furniture looked like it would be better bought at a thrift store. The bathroom seemed to have been left as the previous occupant used it, and there were no clean towels. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you're booking late for a UAPB event or just need a place to rest for the night. The owner and his family are very disrespectful toward Black people, seem narrow-minded, and their actions reflect negative stereotypes about the Black community.

There were roaches coming out from all over the room, and the door looked like it had been kicked in. The bathroom door had a huge hole with a terrible patch that wasn't even painted to match. If you have to stay here, ask for a non-smoking room.

Creepy place, and the whole town felt scary. Skid Row in LA and downtown Oakland, CA, are upgrades compared with this city. The nicest building I saw was a McDonald's. This place seemed like it was run by crackheads. There's even a sign saying no visitors. TF? At a hotel? The office was empty most of the time. The city as a whole was once voted the most miserable place to live in the US.

The hotel was filthy, with dirty towels and a really bad roach problem. They were disrespectful and harassed us the whole time. A man even opened our room door while we were still getting dressed, before checkout time. When I called to complain and asked for someone higher up, they said there was no number and nobody else to talk to. They need to be shut down asap.
