The Golden Spurs

We were out of range much of the day and hadn't received our room code, but a quick online chat with the virtual check-in sorted it immediately. The motel was great value and worked well for our family of four: a king bed for us and two queens for our older kids, with separate sleeping areas. The rooms were clean and nicely finished, and the subtle Wild West touches, including a soft boot on each bed, were charming. The town is pleasant for a walk, especially if you like sewing and quilting. A lovely find for a trip to Bryce.

We stopped in Panguitch for the night on our way to Bryce Canyon. The room was quiet, clean, and really comfortable. Virtual check-in and checkout were convenient, and we got quick text replies whenever we had a question. The price was great too. I'd recommend The Golden Spur and would happily stay again.

The Golden Spur was a lovely surprise. From outside it looks unassuming, but our family room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and nicely updated. The staff were incredibly prompt and efficient, and the hospitality felt genuine. I enjoyed it enough to extend my stay and plan to return. Thanks for everything, Golden Spur! Panguitch itself is a tiny town in the middle of nowhere, with friendly people and a cowboy, country way of life. Its old-fashioned stores, restaurants, and hotels have a refreshing, nostalgic feel.

We arrived to find our room smelling bad and covered in flies, at least 200 of them. After we called, they moved us to another room. It was about what you'd expect from a $90 hotel, bare-bones but acceptable, though the TV didn't work. The really frustrating part is this was my second time writing this review. After my first two-star review, they offered a full refund if I removed it. I did, but ten days later they refunded only $15. Pretty wack.
