Club Wyndham Grand Desert

We had a blast as a family, especially at the family pool, movie theater, arcade, recreation room for slime time, and build a bear. It’s close to the strip, and the two-bedroom room was spacious, clean, and modern looking. The full kitchen was well equipped, and there’s a convenience store in the lobby open 24 hours for groceries. Staff were helpful and attentive, always happy to help. This was the perfect place for our Vegas family stay, and we’ll definitely come back.

We especially liked being near the Strip without being surrounded by all the noise and crowds. It made getting around easy, while the property itself stayed quiet. Our stay at Club Wyndham Grand Desert was really enjoyable, and we’d happily return. The spacious rooms were clean and well maintained, with more room than a typical Vegas hotel, which made things much more comfortable. Staff were friendly, and the property had good amenities. The only downside was the initial push to attend a vacation ownership/timeshare presentation. It was easy enough to politely decline and get on with our vacation, and it didn’t hurt the experience overall.

I’d give this place, especially customer service and the timeshare team, zero stars or less if I could. We agreed to a two-hour presentation for a reward package for a free cruise anywhere in the world through one of their resorts or cruise lines. It ran about 3.5 hours and turned into a high-pressure sales pitch. We felt trapped and vulnerable while they held my credit card and driver’s license, and they basically wouldn’t accept no. Afterward, we did basic research and found out it is indeed a scam. They didn’t discuss the high interest rates on paper or the maintenance fees that can rise astronomically later in ownership. They focused on the “steep discounts” they could offer on the spot. We’re now in a short rescission period when we can legally cancel. Brian Kaipat and his assistant, whose name we forgot, helped us. No cancellation plan was discussed while we were being fed misinformation, and the selling tactics felt highly deceptive and misleading. Since leaving, I’ve tried to reach the agent who initially helped us, but she keeps giving me the runaround without a definitive answer. When I called the office, they didn’t know who the customer service department was. I had to call three times before being transferred to voicemail. If I don’t get a clear answer, we’ll pursue legal means as necessary. I can’t say much about the rooms because we didn’t stay there. I can say the timeshare presentations are a complete scam and waste of time. Steer clear to protect yourself and your finances.

At night the views of the Sphere are “Window Candy Perfection”! We booked an AirB&B here for six people and all loved it. The rooms were quiet and clean, parking was free and easy to find, and it’s a perfect spot just off the Strip with lots of cool places in walking distance. We took a $30 Uber ride to Fremont Street every night, and it was worth it. In 100° weather, renting a cabana is the way to go poolside. The shade and refrigerator are must haves. The adults-only pool was a good time, and by the end of the day you’ll have lots of new friends.
