Hampton Inn & Suites Las Vegas Convention Center - No Resort Fee

All the staff were welcoming, polite, and friendly, and I slept comfortably. I woke up refreshed without any back pain. The hotel is clean and pleasant. I liked that it’s away from the Strip, but still not far from it. I’d definitely come back and recommend staying here.

We’d book here again next time we’re in LV. The hotel is lovely, with friendly staff, a very comfortable bed, and a great breakfast. The resort-style pool and hot tub were nice, and we appreciated having a little bar and restaurant inside. One night we picked up ice cream from the snack area. It’s handy for the airport. You can faintly hear planes during the day, but it quiets down around 10pm.

The room was okay, but we discovered at 2am that the sink was blocked and there weren’t any cups or glasses. Reporting the issue the next morning was awkward: the person at reception turned out to be security, while the receptionist was behind a screen eating breakfast. The receptionist had already made a poor first impression by mumbling and seeming uninterested. We had tea and coffee in the lobby before leaving. My wife thought the coffee tasted like sludge, though I suppose taste is subjective. The water for my tea was barely warm, yuck. For a Hilton, this was poor. It’s not a short walk to the Strip, so you’ll need a cab. If I ever go back to Vegas, I wouldn’t stay here.

For convention-goers who mainly need somewhere decent to sleep, this is a great fit. You can walk to the convention center and monorail, and the staff are friendly. It’s a dependable Hampton with clean rooms and free breakfast. The savings compared with Strip hotels are significant, and you can put that money toward shows or dining.
