Hilton Garden Inn Las Vegas City Center

The employee at the front counter was incredibly rude during check-in, so I got a bad first impression. Customer service should be friendly and helpful, and neither was true here. After our stay, I realized the hospitality had been a complete zero. We were traveling for hockey and had a game before breakfast opened. Twenty minutes before opening, one worker told us we could help ourselves to bagels, muffins, fruit, and coffee. Great. As we started, a woman came out and rudely said they weren’t open and we couldn’t take anything. I explained what the other employee had said. She then yelled at him and turned the bagel case around so we couldn’t reach it. I understand they were still preparing breakfast, and that the first employee was doing his best to be hospitable. But the supervisor, I assume, left me with an even worse impression. If you expect reasonable customer service at a hotel, this is not the place to stay.

The cooked-to-order breakfast was very good and reasonably priced, and the rooms were clean. Every staff member we interacted with was professional, helpful, and kind. The breakfast team especially made us feel welcome, though I’m terrible at remembering names. We had an excellent stay, and I’d absolutely recommend the hotel and hope to visit again.

The night was miserable: people upstairs stomped and jumped, someone yelled “Stop!”, and around 1 a.m. it sounded like a fight. The front desk said security would come after we called, but the noise went on and nobody followed up. We barely slept, and it left us feeling that guest comfort and safety weren't being taken seriously. Even checking out was unpleasant. While we were loading our bags at the roundabout near the pickup area, the shuttle driver behind us snapped that we should move and keep it moving, though we were trying to load as fast as we could. We were only there for one night, but the welcome had already been rough: at check-in the attendant opened with “What do you want?” The room was otherwise decently clean, yet I found a moldy towel draped over the showerhead when I went to shower. Between that, the ignored noise, and staff's attitude, this was one of my most disappointing Vegas stays. We won't consider this hotel next time.

We used this clean, well-organized hotel for a park, sleep, and fly stay before our flight from LAS. It's a lovely place just off I-15, and Adena, the general manager, was professional and very accommodating. We'd certainly do it again.
