Hyatt Place Las Vegas

Luis and Brian made evening check-in easy. They were great and really helpful. The rooms are large and clean, the pillows are decent and the bed is OK. Breakfast is decent too. My main gripe is the fitness center, which is very small and poorly equipped. It’s a solid basic hotel, not too far from the airport or the Strip, with plenty of places to eat within walking distance.

Guest service was great, and housekeeping did a really good job. Check-in and checkout were easy. As usual with Hyatt, it was clean, breakfast was ready and good, and they’re pet friendly.

I came to town late for a job and couldn't find a hotel until I called the Hyatt in Las Vegas. Brian answered and put me at ease, assuring me he'd have a room. He was caring and went well beyond what I expected. At least five other people called with the same concern while I was dealing with him, and he handled those calls too. He knew exactly how many rooms were available and didn't promise anything he couldn't deliver, unlike the hotel I'd booked, which turned out to be overbooked.

After finally waiting until 2:40 AM for our key, we were given two twin beds even though we'd booked and paid for a king. No explanation or alternative was offered. At the desk, we were also told breakfast ran from 6:00 to 9:00 AM. I explained we'd waited for hours and asked whether room delivery or another option was possible since we'd barely sleep. The receptionist rudely said they don't deliver and we had to come down before 9. We'd booked through Expedia well in advance and called around 8:00 PM to confirm our late arrival. Staff assured us there'd be no issue. But when we showed up around 11:00 PM, they said the hotel was overbooked or rooms weren't ready because of staffing or cleaning problems. Several other guests were stuck in the lobby too. I had driven 12-13 hours and was exhausted; sitting there for over three hours ruined the night and our trip. I had to cancel shows booked for the next day because I couldn't get proper rest. I didn't expect such poor service, no empathy, and unprofessional behavior from a Hyatt. Nobody took responsibility or apologized, and they made no effort to accommodate us after all that. The whole experience was stressful and far below what I expect from this brand. I wouldn't recommend staying here, especially if you're arriving late.
