Residence Inn By Marriott Las Vegas Stadium Area

The airport is very close, and there’s no sound insulation, so jets taking off are a constant noise. The hotel isn’t on the Strip, and even with a large parking lot around it, parking costs extra. Over our three-night stay, housekeeping never came, even though we didn’t put out a 'Do not disturb' sign. Someone brought fresh towels on the last day, but didn’t make the bed or clean the toilet. The rooms are large, with a lounge area and full kitchen, and were clean aside from a strange odor that may have come from the carpet, upholstery, or garbage disposal. We tried opening the windows, but that didn’t help. There’s a decent free breakfast each morning, which is a luxury in Vegas. We could walk to Allegiant stadium in 10-15 minutes and to the extreme south end of the Strip, Mandalay Bay, in about 30 minutes.

I booked a two-bedroom through hotels.com, but when I arrived, that room wasn’t available and they offered only a one-bedroom. The options were a refund or a downgrade while still paying the two-bedroom price. It was after 1pm, every room elsewhere was sold out, and I had nowhere else to sleep, so I was really upset. Giving a 1 rating is generous. Is this how they do business?

The room was great, and getting to the stadium and the Strip was easy from this location. The staff were helpful and very friendly. Breakfast was great too, and the ladies who set it up were polite, smiling, and really on top of things. I’d stay here again.

The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious, about what I expected from a Residence Inn. A couple of things felt odd: the table chairs were extra tall, and the only TV faced the bed. It looked like it should turn toward the living room, but barely moved, so watching from the couch wasn’t possible. There was also a strange smell when I first entered, like something rotting in the garbage disposal. I got used to it pretty quickly, and since it was late, I didn’t ask for another room or complain.
