The Rose Room had plenty of space, a cozy fireplace, and a clawfoot tub. Bailey and Leslie made us feel so welcome, and their historic home has loads of charm. Bailey's homemade breakfast each morning was delicious. I'd definitely recommend Home Sweet Home if you're after a cozy, charming B&B.

The meal was good and the dining table was set with pretty plates in a formal arrangement, but I wouldn't recommend this B&B. A quick 15-second wipe of the bathroom with a damp paper towel left it covered in hair. The bathtub photos speak for themselves. The bedroom door had only a chain lock, and the Transon window above it was left open. The windows had mini blinds and a thin Lacey curtain, with no privacy drapes, so people outside could see in.

We stayed here over a wedding weekend, and it was such a welcoming, comfortable place. The owners know Paris well, and breakfast was a lovely way to start the day.

The Rose Room was warm and relaxing, with a comfortable bed and an inviting fireplace, just right for two. Home Sweet Home bed and breakfast had an enchanting early-1900s look, from the lace curtains and doilies to the old-fashioned furniture. Breakfast was tasty and just the right amount. The sliced squash with cheese was a delicious surprise for breakfast. The town was easy to explore from there, with everything close to Home Sweet Home bed and breakfast. Downtown was only a few blocks away, and the walk was lovely, past historic homes. Paris has a real small-town feel, with little shops around the central square, which was decorated with scarecrows for Halloween. The places we wanted to visit were all nearby.

We loved sitting on the big screened front porch, watching birds visit the feeders. Imagine how many people have enjoyed that porch since 1909! Bailey welcomed us by sitting down in the living room to share a little about the B&B and its history, and helped bring our luggage upstairs. We were in the extra-large Paris Suite upstairs for our 55th Wedding Anniversary, and spent several delightful days touring Paris. Each morning there was plenty of delicious breakfast, including a sausage we'd never tried, yellow squash with cheese and spices, and other familiar breakfast foods. Since tomatoes were in season, we also had ripe sliced tomatoes and mini Cherry Black tomatoes from her garden. She kindly gave me a black cherry tomato plant to take home so I can enjoy cherry tomatoes year around. There are plenty of nearby restaurants too. Thanks for a wonderful extended weekend trip.
