TownePlace Suites by Marriott Parkersburg

We only stayed one night, but the spacious, clean, comfortable room made it easy to settle in and relax. It had all the amenities we needed. The arrival experience was just as good: the welcome was warm, and check-in was thorough and efficient. I had a very positive stay at TownePlace Suites Parkersburg and wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend it to others visiting the area.

I’ve stayed here plenty of times. There are some wonderful employees, but there seem to be two bad ones for every good one. They’re rude, and kids are allowed to run around the hotel, gym, and pool like it’s a playground. At this point, maybe they’re the employees’ own kids. Update: I think the hotel is booked for kids’ birthday parties on weekends. There were literally four soaking wet kids, around 4-8 years old, in the gym. I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but this place is whiskey tango. I’m checking out early to go to Marietta Marriott. Ask for the weekend help. She’s a beauty.

The staff were awesome, and the rooms were clean. It’s also very centrally located for downtown. I’d recommend it.

Breakfast was the best part of our stay, with far more options than a standard hotel spread. Dee kept everything clean and stocked quickly. My husband spilled chocolate chips, and before I could get a napkin, she’d already wiped them up. She takes real pride in her work and made a great impression. The room was clean and spacious, with plenty of pillows. The bed was on the firm side but comfortable enough for a good night’s sleep, and the bathroom was spotless and well stocked. We were there to rest before a seven-hour drive home. Check-in, though, began with an empty desk. A security guard said someone would be right back, then after about 15 minutes a man came out and apologized, saying his phone was on do not disturb.
