Hampton Inn & Suites Parsippany/North

The room was a nice size and seemed clean, but there were no tissues or hand soap. Wind came right through the windows, and the shower handle spun freely and wouldn’t turn off. Breakfast was a mess. The waffle batter looked green and tasted sour, and there were no blueberries. The scones were like stones. Oatmeal was okay, but it had boiled over onto the counter and was crusty on top. The only coffee was “light.” The front desk staff were all very nice. The cleaners and breakfast workers seemed unable to understand or speak English, so they couldn’t help me.

A decent motel aside from some problems. The walls seemed thin, so we could hear the guests next door. The beds were disappointing and kind of hard. There was also an unpleasant, funny smell, sort of like a veterinary clinic. Maybe it was meant to cover dog odors? We opened the window for a while, but the nasty smell came back.

Everything looked new after the recent restoration and remodel. The room and bathroom were a good size, with modern new furniture. The breakfast was great, and it’s in a convenient spot for getting on and off RTs 23, 80, 46, and 10.

Checked in 11/15/25. Room 405 was spacious, updated, and clean, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was the usual, nothing special, but the location was good and parking was free. The toilet made a loud, piercing sound. I’m a light sleeper and barely slept. Flushing made the noise stop for a little while, but it came back after a few minutes. The rest of my family are heavy sleepers, fortunately. The shower pressure was low, too. I probably won’t return. I love Hampton Inn hotels, but I’m not sure about this one.
