Holiday Inn Express & Suites Houston E - Pasadena by IHG

This is where I like to stay when I visit Houston. I’ve been here twice and both stays were great. The drive into Houston whenever I need to do something is fine, and the hotel itself is quiet and relaxing.

I was here for work, and being so close to the site made getting there on time much easier. The service was really nice. For early shifts, they even offered to leave fruit and pastries at the front desk so we could grab them on the way out.

The breakfast was good, and the room was spacious and very nice. The location made it easy to reach places via the freeway while avoiding traffic. The elevator still wasn’t working, but we had little luggage, so it wasn’t a big deal. I did tell management that the bathtub is very slippery and could be a safety hazard. We’ll definitely return.

The building is pretty, but management needs to pay serious attention to this place. I had to carry my suitcase because the elevators weren’t working. The first room was dirty, so I went back down and was assigned another. That room had no ice bucket; while heading downstairs for ice, I saw a large roach going up the stairs and another dead one in a corner. The woman at the service desk brought me a bucket of ice and was very nice. Breakfast was good until I noticed gnats on the bagels. While having coffee, I saw dead flies covering the windows facing the pool. Then a cleaner started mopping nearby, and the smell of the cleaning solution made me throw my coffee away.
