Pasadena Rose Inn

We were in a bind and needed an inexpensive place, but $85 a night didn't feel all that cheap. Our room was roomy and had a balcony, though it smelled odd and wasn't as clean as I like. It’s an old motel, and some sketchy people hang around. We stayed two days and weren't around much. It served its purpose, but I wouldn't return.

We heard yelling from other guests through the night, and people were hanging around on the stairs. Outside one room, two women were standing around. One seemed to be on drugs, and the other looked like she might be offering sexual services. The room and bathroom had roaches, and there were stains and hair on the bed. The toilet and floor had dried bodily fluid stains, including what looked like dried blood on the toilet. The shower didn't work right, and the whole place smelled like piss. I can't think where to start with how disgusting it was. They charge way too much for this sh***y place. Please don't give them your money. I don't know how it's still open, or whether the owner is doing something illegal. Pay more to stay somewhere else unless you're looking for a sketchy place.

The breakfast was creepy enough that even the staff wouldn't eat it, and they never wash the juice machine. The owner, a very mean Chinese lady, would come into your room and turn off all the lights and the air conditioning. They only care about making a profit and saving a little on labor and utilities, not about you or your health. This place needs to be shut down, and people like them shouldn't be in the service business. Don't ever come here!
