Nola Goula Inn & Suites

We wanted to support a local business, so my coworkers and I gave Nola-Goula a try. Sadly, the food disappointed. When we went to order, the first thing we heard was “we don't have any,” even though it was on the menu. They also had to check with someone about another menu item we wanted. We placed five orders together and were told pickup would take 20 minutes. It took 40, and the food seemed to have been sitting for a while because everything was cold. My BLT and cup of gumbo weren’t enjoyable. The onion rings were the one thing I liked, though they were cold too. A coworker’s stuffed crab had no crab meat, just stuffing, onion rings, and salad. Another said her eggplant goula was okay, but the eggplant wasn’t fresh. Someone else’s grilled shrimp salad had wilted, old lettuce. The salad dressings didn’t taste like blue cheese either. I’d hate to see another local place close over issues it can fix. Service and food preparation need to be top priorities. I mean this as helpful feedback, not a bash.

Wonderful staff, great food, nice rooms, and awesome prices! My Louisiana family in Pascagoula is bringing Nola to Goula. You can get about as close to New Orleans eating as you can on the coast. Absolutely LOVE IT!!!!!

The rooms and suites have a distinctive New Orleans theme and interior design. Under new management, the staff provided excellent customer service. The restaurant serves authentic New Orleans food, with homemade meals and daily specials. It’s a unique getaway, whether you’re traveling for business or want to enjoy the design, and they accommodate guests’ needs. 10 STARS!

We had a really great dining experience. The service was superb, the prices were good for what you get, and the Cajun-style food was amazing. Save room for the beignet balls on the dessert menu. They’re delicious and come with different fillings. Cafe Du Monde coffee is coming soon. I’ll bring my family next time they’re in town.
