Airport Motel

I only stopped to drop off a friend. It’s just off the highway and was quiet, though the outside was dirty and there were lots of feral kittens around. It is what it is.

We stayed here a few times and really enjoyed it. The staff were nice, and the place felt comfortable because they didn’t allow much monkey business. Prices were the lowest I’d seen nearby. It’s handy for town but far enough out to have a little privacy, just keep in mind the train yard is very close. The property was being remodeled and updated during our stays. It’s on the north edge of town, off 4th Ave. in Pasco.

I’d probably be okay staying here without kids, but I wouldn’t bring children. Keep the car locked and stay in your room until morning, and you should be okay.

It’s dingy and filthy, and I couldn’t feel comfortable touching things, lying down, or sitting there. Still, at least it’s warm, which beats the ground or the street. It was $45, with no credit or bank card needed, just a $20 deposit, and there are no amenities. Free phone calls include long distance. You can’t call a room through the motel number, though, because the office stops answering after 10 p.m. and there’s no way to select a room.
