Parking right outside the room was convenient, and the location was easy to get to. But at nearly $200 a night, my wife and I thought it was way overpriced. The room was FILTHY: feces on the wall, a nasty floor, and disgusting baseboards. The mattress was rock hard and I could barely sleep. In the bathroom, the sink wouldn’t drain, the vanity was tiny with nowhere else to put our things, there was no trash can, and the only outlet was covered and unusable. I’d never stay here again. It’s obvious the owners have no care or pride in their product.

They charged my card afterward and took $100 from me. The beds were hard, the AC unit was so loud my brother couldn’t sleep, and there were bad smells and a disrespectful owner. Don’t spend your money here. It wasn’t worth $115, let alone $215. They deserve to fail.

The location is a real plus: Smart N’ Final is almost across the street, with Jack in the Box and Little Caesar’s just north of it and 7-11 nearby. Walk about five minutes south and you’re in central Paso Robles, near a lovely park and 20 or more places to eat or get dessert at different price points. The rates are very reasonable too. I’ve paid $50-$75 more at other hotels and gotten weak water pressure, no fridge or microwave, and poor heating and cooling. Here, room 101 had a small refrigerator/freezer that kept things ice cold, a microwave, a decent-sized TV with plenty of channels, strong AC and heat, and good water pressure. The man who seems to own the place, a thin gentleman with glasses, was friendly. I’ve stayed twice and have no complaints.

Booked this at the last minute and was really pleased. The room was very clean, the AC was quiet and cold, and the office staff were friendly and helpful. For what it cost, it was a great stay.
