Banana River Resort

Being able to walk across the street to the beach was so convenient, and the property felt secure. My daughter even felt safe fishing by herself late at night. We stayed four days with my two teenagers and had a great time. The family suite was comfortable and clean, with enough privacy for everyone and a kitchen that kept my teenage boy fed. We fish and kayak, so having the dock and kayaks right there was a big plus, and we got to see lots of marine life up close. My son also picked up paddleboarding quickly. It’s a little away from the busier part of town, though restaurants and shops are only a short drive away. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the manager helped with planning and getting the door lock working when I couldn’t figure it out on arrival. We’re thinking of bringing our extended family next time. It seems like a great spot for a small reunion.

The outdoor areas are a lovely place to sit by the water, feel the river breeze, and watch dolphins and boats go by. It has a tucked-away feel while still being close to Cocoa and the Space Coast. Banana River Resort has that relaxed old-Florida charm, with peaceful waterfront views that turn golden at sunset. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with a cozy coastal look that felt welcoming without being overdone. The atmosphere is calm and full of heart, and the hospitality feels genuine. It could suit a romantic break, a quiet solo reset, or a family stay. We’ll definitely be back.

We saw dolphins, manatees, and birds during our stay, and the kayaks, paddleboards, and outdoor fire pit were nice extras. You can catch the sunrise over the ocean, then enjoy sunset views over the river from the patio. The rooms were spotless, the views were beautiful, and the property is clearly well maintained. The manager does a great job, and the staff were amazing. I’m surprised to see any negative reviews because our stay was entirely positive. We’d gladly come back.

We keep coming back to Banana River Resort when we visit family in the area. It’s right on the river and within walking distance of the beach, so the location works perfectly for us. Having a pet-friendly place is a real help. The manager is attentive and responsive if we have suggestions or need anything. We haven’t needed them so far, but I know they also offer help with events and special requests like proposals. We enjoy the amenities, especially when our daughter swims in the river and we unwind on the dock. On our last trip we were lucky enough to spot dolphins. Highly recommend!
