Even our two kids had a blast here, and my family loved the place. The mismatched furniture people mentioned in reviews gave it a cute vintage feel to me. It's now one of my favorite places to stay. The bar next door had amazing food: the fish sandwich was to die for, and so were the patty melt and chicken tenders. Just a heads-up, the Bloody Mary comes spicy.
The food was great, and the cozy rooms made for a really good night's sleep. It's a relaxing place with lovely scenery, and being near Roosevelt made getting out to fish easier. I'd recommend it.
We appreciated how affordable it was, and the rooms were clean with good parking. It looks like it was recently remodeled. The bar next door is nice too, with reasonably priced, strong drinks. The wings were great!
Rochelle made sure we were comfortable and was very accommodating during our wonderful weekend in the two-bedroom, two-bathroom house. Even in July, it stayed nice and cool, and the bedding was comfortable. There was a covered porch at both the front and back. I'd love to stay there again when we're in the area.
Rochelle is amazing and so welcoming, and the rooms have always been clean when we've stayed. It's an older hotel, so some repairs could improve it. I do wish there were a smoking area away from the room doors, since smoke from people outside gets into the room. We've stayed here four to five times and will return.
