Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Pearland by IHG

I needed five days to keep my Diamond status before the end of the year, and this was an enjoyable place to stay. The hot tub was clean and working, too. The front desk attendants are sweet, greet you with smiles, and are around when you need something. I've stayed somewhere that left a note saying staff would be back, leaving guests waiting for help. Holiday Inn feels well managed in general. A nice place to lay your head.

Sure, anywhere can have things you don't like, but here the good outweighs that for me. I love the friendly staff, how clean the hotel is, and the amazing breakfast. This is my go-to whenever I visit the area, and the only place I stay there.

We chose this hotel for the full breakfast bar and because it was close to the half marathon my fiancé was running. Breakfast was supposed to run from 7 to 10, but the race started at 7, so we asked the night staff if we could eat earlier. They were very kind and said it was no problem and they'd tell the next shift. In the morning, the man at the front desk acted annoyed when we asked for help. He told us to go through the pantry doors. When we explained they were locked, he made another face and walked away without saying he was going around to open them from the back. Once we realized what was happening, the breakfast lady said he'd told her we were only allowed certain items, even though we'd paid for breakfast and had been told it was okay. My fiancé was about to run 13 miles, and that felt really unfair. If we'd known we'd have to get breakfast elsewhere, we'd have picked a cheaper hotel.

Michelle really came through when I had several problems with my room. She was proactive, professional, and so helpful, and she saved the day. She clearly cares about her work and treated me like I was in her own home. Holiday Inn is lucky to have her helping guests at the front desk. Thank you, Michelle. Wishing you all the best.
