Even the ice machine looked neglected, its filters were brown and seemed never to have been changed. The rooms were hot, smelly, and dirty, with no fan or control over the AC. I also saw several roaches. The bedding and towels looked decades old, the mini fridge barely worked, and the tiny bathrooms had awful water pressure. The rooms were dated and had no closets. The staff were very nice, but that doesn't make up for everything else. There are plenty of other hotels in town, even for a quick one-night stay.

I wouldn't recommend staying here even for one night on a drive through. The room felt dirty and stayed hot the whole time, with no way to control the temperature. The place was badly outdated, the bedding had holes, and the tiny bathroom had almost no water pressure. There was no closet, and the refrigerator never got cold.

The room was clean and the fridge worked well, and the price was good, so I would return. During my four-night stay they replaced the towels, but never brought more coffee. The TV reception was poor, and there was no phone in the room, though these days everyone has a cell. The bed was a little too hard for me.

I haven't found a better bargain while traveling. Frio Inn is affordable, friendly, and the rooms are updated and clean. The bathrooms look fresh, and the beds and furniture are wonderful. There's a refrigerator and microwave in the room, plus free wifi. I'd definitely recommend it if you want a clean, updated place.

I stayed here for two months while working at a site just north of pearsall. I've traveled for several years, and this is the nicest place I've had the pleasure of staying. It's quiet, clean, and updated, with a grocery store and fast food nearby. The owners are incredibly helpful.
