I booked through Expedia for a better rate, even though I've been a Best Western member for years. The photos of the pool and the reviews persuaded me to choose this place, but I was disappointed with the facility and the service. At the front desk, the woman didn't greet us or explain what she wanted us to sign. She just said to initial, then required a $50 incidental charge that included linen charges. That seemed like an odd, outdated policy. When I asked if they'd charge for something like a bloody nose, she said they absolutely would. I requested sheets for the sofa bed, which was why I booked that room. She said she'd bring them, and when I asked where, she said my room. Other people with me heard it too, and I double checked. Later, when I called down, she denied saying that and told me to come get them. Her attitude had me so uncomfortable that I stayed in the room and didn't take my kids to the pool. The other two buildings are quite far from the pool, hot tub, and amenities. Our fridge was dirty and had a yellow water bottle left inside, and the remote was disgusting. I was too frustrated by the rude front desk treatment to call down about those issues. I had to ask how breakfast worked. They gave me a voucher without explaining it, so I asked. All she said was to sit down and the server would take it. We waited 10-15 minutes without anyone speaking to us, though people were eating and the server passed by a couple of times, so we left. I've never been treated so unkindly at a Best Western Plus or a regular Best Western. Seeing the same staff member that night and the next morning made it more frustrating. I expected great customer care, and for $170 I was genuinely sad and disappointed with the experience. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The breakfast bar was nice, with a good selection, fresh fruit, and a very attentive woman running it. It was our first time in Pecos, TX. The room was clean and larger than we expected, and most rooms have a little table and two chairs out front for smokers or just sitting around. The pool area is nice too.

For work I'm in Pecos a lot and have tried every hotel here. This is easily the best choice, with genuine good service. It's beautiful, private, and quiet, and has a good pool, great gym, amazing breakfast, comfortable beds, good bathrooms, and an amazing restaurant. Please put water fountains in the gym.

We've stayed several times, in both indoor and outdoor rooms, and haven't been disappointed yet. The property is well lit, well maintained, and paved with what looks like cobblestones. Staff are friendly and helpful, and there's enough parking. The pool is cool, clean, and clear. There's also an indoor and outdoor cooking and prep area with a stove and grills, plus a car wash guests can use. It's close to the interstate, but I barely noticed the noise during our stays. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a nice overnight stop or somewhere to stay longer.

After a long day on the road, this was a good place to stop, especially if you're coming from Big Bend Natl Park. The room was clean, the service was great, and the complimentary breakfast in the restaurant was amazing. I'd stay again if I had the choice. The toilet tank was leaking, and management knew about it. The outdoor pool was also out of service for maintenance, which is why I rated it four stars.
