Holiday Inn Express & Suites Peekskill-Lower Hudson Valley by IHG

I was getting frustrated after phone representatives kept giving me the run-around, so I asked to speak with the hotel front desk. Michael was incredibly helpful, thorough, and accommodating. His customer service was professional and impeccable, and he showed real compassion and commitment to his work. Five stars for him. Thank you, Michael!

The front desk was kind and greeted us when we arrived, and parking was plentiful. We had a double Queen suite, and the heat worked well without making any noise. Breakfast was fine, like at other Holiday Inns, and they kept the area clean. Otherwise, the room smelled like sour milk, and when my daughter pulled out the bed, someone’s dirty boxers fell out. The desk sent someone right away to remove them and apologized, but my daughter wouldn’t sleep there, so I shared a bed with two teens. It left me wondering about the cleanliness elsewhere. The tractor trailers lined up across the street woke us at 5 am each morning. They were so loud I checked that the window wasn’t open. You’re next door to the fire department too, so you’ll hear that, though it wasn’t frequent. Apart from that, it was quiet. The view from our window was fabulous, lol. To swim, you have to sign in and wait for a staff member to watch you, apparently because it’s the law in that county. My kids thought it was too weird, so we skipped it. There are soda machines, but you never know what you’ll get: whichever button you press, it gives you something else, usually water. It was an okay stay.

The front desk staff were friendly, and our room was really clean and stocked with towels and the usual hotel supplies. I spent two days and a night here. It’s not far from Downtown Peekskill, and the park view is beautiful. I’d be happy to come back.

We came with family for a wedding last weekend and were very happy with our stay. The rooms were spotless and surprisingly spacious for an “express” hotel. Breakfast was hot, quick, and plentiful. I’d asked overnight for five extra blankets, and they brought them to our suite within five minutes. McDonald's is less than half a mile away, which was a big help since the kids weren’t interested in the salmon and steak the adults were having. We were completely satisfied and would stay here again if we’re back in town. Five out of five stars.
