For under $100 a night, I got a lot out of this little two-star hotel in the middle of nowhere. Our newly remodeled room was small but spotless, with the fresh-paint smell, a marble bathroom counter, fridge, and microwave. The whole hotel was clean. The shared areas were dingy and dated, but clearly well looked after, and the front desk staff were very nice. There’s free breakfast, laundry, vending machines, and dogs are allowed for $25. Best part for me was the heated indoor pool. Outside, there’s a huge grassy area about the size of a football field, great for dogs or kids, plus a baseball diamond at the end of the block. Shops are visible and walkable within half a mile, and a short drive gets you to nice hiking trails and a dog park. I still find it funny how much I like this place.

The door never latched properly unless I checked it, which is a security issue they never addressed. There was also a dirty sock on the stair rail for four days, even though I reported it on the first day, and the pillows were a disgusting yellow from years of sweat. The bed bug infestation was massive, too. I don’t understand a $100 deposit when the room itself isn’t worth $50. I travel for work and stay in hotels more than 200 nights a year, usually at Hilton properties. This was one of the worst places I’ve had to stay in over 20 years. It was the only hotel open besides the mineral springs flophouse, but clearly they don’t want to keep up with maintenance or cleanliness. If I could give zero stars, I would.

I’m here every three weeks. The rates are great, and the staff usually remember what I like and have everything ready. The staff and management are great.

A good pick for work travel. It’s a bit dated, but quiet, clean, and bug-free. Fair price, good Wi-Fi, and nice people.

I felt welcome and at home thanks to the staff. The front desk guy made check-in easy and was really helpful, and they recognized me as a diamond member. I’ll definitely come back.
