Quality Inn Pelham I-65 exit 246

I've reported the business to the Alabama Health Office and alerted the Alabama Health department to inspect the location. I want my money back. The cancellation policy is bullshit when rooms are physically uninhabitable, and we couldn't stay there safely. The manager wouldn't approve the refund through Expedia. We asked to move to a safe room, but they failed to accommodate us, so we physically couldn't stay. They took my money without providing the service we requested. Judging by other reviews, we aren't the first this has happened to. I hope people read them. We booked through Expedia and found roaches. The first room, 109 on the first floor, had one big roach. They moved us to smoking room 217 in an upper corner on the second floor. It reeked of smoke, and little bugs were visible behind the door and crawling on the floor near the bed, as in the second photo. Absolutely disgusting. Don't stay here unless you want to sleep with roaches.

I felt racially profiled by an African American lady, who falsely threatened to call the cops and said I was intimidating her. It all escalated after I asked for another room key. I waited in the lobby for the police, but they never showed, and I don't even think she called them. I won't spend my money at this hotel again. Pehlam can do better. I'm posting this to spread awareness, so think about it before coming to this dump.

The room they first gave me upstairs was clean, but it smelled strongly of cigarettes. Loud people were next to it, so I called the front desk and asked to move downstairs. The double room downstairs smelled even worse, like mildew or wet clothes or something. I left the hotel altogether and got a refund.

The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. Getting off and back on our route was easy, which was a plus. I'd stay again if I stop in the area.
