The hotel was very clean, with no bugs or odd smells, and the staff were friendly. Still, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Noise was a real problem: the walls are paper thin, doors slammed all night, and I could hear people walking upstairs. I’m not a light sleeper, but I struggled to rest even with white noise on my phone and the AC running. The pillows were flat, furniture scuffed, outlets loose so my chargers kept falling out, and the shower curtain was torn. The place needs some TLC.

We had two queen beds, a pullout sofa, and a cot, plus a fridge and microwave. Breakfast was nice, with hot and cold options including cereal, oatmeal, grits, bacon, eggs, biscuits, waffles, coffee, juice, and more. Everyone on staff was welcoming, and check-in and checkout together took less than five minutes. I’d read online that a $250 cash deposit was required, but that wasn’t true for us. They held a $50 security deposit. I’m not sure why Booking dot com hasn’t corrected that. Edit: From other reviews, it looks like locals may need to pay a refundable cash deposit of $100 to $200. We’ll return.

I wasn’t told on the phone when I booked that there’d be a $200 cash deposit. The male receptionist was rude and unhelpful. I’m a CDL driver and had run out of hours, so I couldn’t drive any farther. I wound up staying at the Hampton Inn across the street, where they accepted cards and got me settled. There’s a reason they’re a choice hotel brand.

I had to come to Pensacola for Navy school and stayed 16 days. The staff made the stay amazing, especially Ms Theresa. We’ve all had hotel breakfast, but her knowledge and smiles made me feel good enough to go out into the world and be great. Thank you to the staff, and especially Ms Theresa.
