Pensacola Victorian B&B

This place is beautiful and charming, and the host couldn’t have been more welcoming or accommodating. Every little detail seemed covered. One friend with me can’t have dairy, and we hadn’t expected that to be accommodated. Without being asked, she got him toast instead of biscuits. That’s just one example of how she went out of her way to make the stay five-star. We’ll be back!

I stayed there last year, and it was a very unique experience. The service and breakfast were good, but the owner doesn’t agree that the place is haunted. My ex and I would walk toward town, and this strange perfume smell followed us to the corner every time, though we couldn’t see any lady there. Another time I ran downstairs to take things to my truck. When I came back up for my coffee, there was a towel neatly folded on our suitcase. My ex then shouted, “Where is my towel?” I asked if she’d brought it out there, and there was more mysterious towel movement after that.

The rooms were cozy and looked after, and the shared space is gorgeous. Barbee was so friendly and helped me with everything I needed, plus made a delicious homemade breakfast. There are lots of shops and restaurants just a short walk away. Such a lovely B&B, and I’ll definitely stay again next time I’m nearby.

Staying in a historic place like the Victorian Bed and Breakfast made for a really different night. The house has loads of nostalgia, and my room was comfortable and cozy. Much more character than a cookie cutter hotel.
