The staff were kind and helpful, and the location was convenient. The room had plenty of space, but it looked shabby, and the hotel could use a full makeover. The shower was worn out, though at least the water was hot. We had to carry our luggage up the stairs to the second floor. I only found that worthwhile for a night or two because of the location.

The breakfast was a pleasant surprise: lots of choices, everything clean and organized, and comfortable places to sit. I also saw plenty of families there, from parents with children to grandparents with their grandchildren, which gave the hotel a welcoming feel. My room was clean and comfortable, with fresh linens and a soft bed. The outlets and lights all worked, the AC was in good shape, and I didn't see any insects or bedbugs. Parking was easy, and the staff were friendly and professional. Check-in was comfortable too. I found the hotel through Google Maps while looking for somewhere to stay. Its reviews were mixed, but it had fewer negative ones than other places I checked. The $100 deposit was returned right after checkout, and there were no hidden fees. I'd recommend it for a night or a longer family stay.

Mary, the manager on duty, was friendly, gracious, and took our concerns seriously. She canceled the reservation in full without a penalty, and I'm sure her handling of it is the reason this place is still open. We'd been told about the hotel by a friend, but one look at the room and the building's lack of security made us realize it wasn't for us. The rear entrance's electronic card lock didn't lock. The place was dirty, smelly, and a total disaster. The website had made it seem like a completely different hotel. Seasoned travelers should stay away.

The Manhattan Longe was closed, but there's a bar across the street called Cherries, and you won't be disappointed. Breakfast is free. I stayed two nights and found the hotel and rooms pretty much as expected, with nothing spectacular. The carpet could use deodorizing.

The staff were lovely, but I wouldn't recommend staying here unless price is a major concern. My room was really dirty and in bad shape. The tub, mirrors, floors, and furniture were filthy; the floors were lifting or sunken in places, and the damaged desk was so unstable I had to work from the bed. Lampshades were broken too. My floor smelled of weed, and people were “soliciting” in their rooms. There was rusted hardware, damage to the walls, and more dirty furniture. The staff weren't the problem, but the owners seem to have put very little care or investment into the property. I don't know how Wyndham thought it was reasonable to license its name to this hotel.
