Comfort Suites Perrysburg - Toledo South

Housekeeping never came to empty the trash or see if we needed fresh towels or toiletries. After the second night, we left the trash in the hall and they did take it. Breakfast also needed attention on several mornings, and we or other guests had to find staff to restock or handle the food. The first room we were given was dirty, with a shower full of mold and grime. The front desk guy saw how gross it was, and the room we moved to was somewhat better, but still dusty and dirty with only a little less mold and grime in the shower. Our keys had to be reprogrammed at least four times in three nights, and the first person we asked gave us a hard time about it. I understand the building is dated, but the lack of cleanliness and care is inexcusable. We’ve had good experiences at other Comfort Inn locations, but we won’t stay at this one again.

The breakfast and nearby restaurants were the best parts of this place. The rooms need a serious deep clean and repairs: rusty water was leaking from light fixtures, the walls and doors were greasy, the wallpaper was peeling, and the fridge stayed at room temperature instead of getting cold. We needed extra towels and an ice bag for the bucket, but no one was at the front desk when we went down. After waiting about ten minutes, we returned to our room and called later. Nobody answered, and the voicemail we left never got a response. This was our second stay. On the first visit, we found someone’s dirty shorts in the bed and had to go to the front desk, where they gave us another room.

On November 23, 2025, I stayed at Comfort Suites Perrysburg – Toledo South. The Jacuzzi tub was coated in soap scum and hadn’t been cleaned, so we had to clean it ourselves. The main faucet didn’t work, leaving us to use the handheld wand, which leaked and dripped water into the room below. The Jacuzzi jet also didn’t work. I called the front desk and was told to check the red switch, but the jets still wouldn’t turn on. I wrote to the manager on 11/25/2025 and received no response.

My fiancé and I have stayed here many times, but after this visit we won’t be back. We checked in late on October 17 after working all day and driving three hours to Perrysburg, then went straight to bed. In the morning my fiancé, who has severe allergies, was congested, coughing, and having trouble breathing. I was coughing too. Looking around, we saw mold on every wall in the room. We reported the condition to the front desk, asked for a refund, and left after being told the general manager would contact us. That afternoon, an employee called and offered 50% credit. For more money back, I was told I’d need to speak with the general manager, and asked if I wanted them to call me. I never heard back, despite several attempts to reach the manager. The national 800 number keeps sending me back to the hotel manager. I’ve considered reporting the hotel to the Perrysburg health department and may still do so. If you need lodging in Perrysburg, choose somewhere else. Comfort Suites is no longer an option for me.
