Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Peru - Lasalle Area by IHG

I stay here several times a month for company site visits. The service and rooms are good, but Mrs. Flo is what makes the place special for me. She greets me with a warm hug and plastic wrap so I can take breakfast with me, and she's so kind and personal with guests. I guess she's about 70 and still working, so I was sad to hear from another staff member that her hours had been cut. If management is willing to lose someone who contributes so much to the guest experience, that says a lot. I manage 66 employees and would never do that to one of mine. Do better. I'm giving five stars because I love the staff and rooms, but if Mrs Flo leaves, our business goes with her.

A comfortable bed, decent breakfast, and a modern, clean, spacious room. Still, our bathroom door wouldn't latch, there was no courtesy toothpaste, and their oven was out, so they ran out of potatoes and, God forbid, cinnamon rolls too.

Becca greeted us at check-in and was so friendly, helpful, and kind. Liz, who handles housekeeping for the property, works incredibly hard and was gracious and accommodating. The staff gave us five-star service, and the whole experience was exceptional. The hotel was spotless, our rooms, 324 and 326, were thoughtfully equipped, and the upscale black blackout window treatments were amazing. Breakfast was generous and delicious. I've traveled the world and was shocked to find this gem. Holiday Inn Express should salute this location and use it as the standard for its other properties. Thank you for all you do!! Bad storms forced us off the road, and we weren't prepared to stay at a hotel with our toddler. Becca helped us get everything we needed and made sure we were comfortable. During a tornado warning, she also got us to a safe area. The hotel was clean, breakfast was great, and I'm glad we stopped.
