Valcour Inn & Boathouse

Richard made the planning feel easy and stress-free. He was kind, organized, attentive, and there on the day to keep everything running smoothly. We’re grateful to him and the whole team at the Valcour Inn and Boathouse for making our wedding unforgettable. The venue itself was everything we’d dreamed of. The charming, peaceful location has so much character, with the elegant inn and beautiful boathouse right by Lake Champlain. The views made a breathtaking backdrop for both our ceremony and reception, and our guests were blown away. We can’t recommend it highly enough.

We had our wedding here in September 2025, and the lake views and charming boathouse were a hit with all our guests. The setting, venue, and service were absolutely stunning. Richard, the site coordinator, was awesome to work with.

The room was beautifully appointed, with a balcony overlooking the lake and grounds. There were lots of places to sit outside, and drinks and breakfast items were available. So many little details made the stay comfortable and peaceful. It went way beyond what I expected. Can’t wait to come back!

The food wasn’t what we were shown at the tasting, and although some dishes were really good, much of it was institutional garbage. For what you get, this feels like highway robbery. The place was very disorganized, and when you book the rooms there’s nobody around to help with anything or give you the water you’re supposed to get. The continental breakfast was ridiculous and nowhere near enough if all the rooms are booked. I went to a wedding here on October 11, and I wouldn’t book this place. That’s what you get dealing with the New York State College, lies and garbage food.
