Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Petersburg, VA

My only gripe was a car alarm that kept going all night. Nobody knew whose vehicle it was, so maybe they should collect car details. Apart from that, I had a good stay. The rooms were clean, breakfast was great, and the staff seemed to care about service and doing things reliably. I enjoyed it from check-in. Thanks for a good experience.

The indoor pool had roaches, and its water filtration system wasn’t running. The outdoor fire pit advertised at the hotel has apparently been out of service for years, and the spa hasn’t been there for years either. The only machine with diet drinks was broken. In our suite, the sitting room TV muted itself every time it was turned off, so someone at the desk had to come fix it with a special remote. The loveseat was worn and stained, the phone didn’t work, and the comforter was stained. One curtain was torn off its track, the other had no pull bar, and the water pressure was awful. We also woke early because of housekeeping.

I stayed here for almost a month for work and had no complaints. The weekday night staff member is the nicest man ever, I love him, and the daytime staff are really nice too. Rooms are clean, and housekeeping is on point. The beds are comfortable, the pool is nice, and there’s a casino across the street. 10/10.

Everything was very clean, the linens were good quality, and the woman at the front desk was so nice. I just wish breakfast had a bit more fruit, though I understand most people don’t want much.
