The coffee was bad enough that after the first morning we made plans to go out and bring some back. The in-room machines were somehow worse than what was in the lobby urns. Aside from that, this hotel covered the important things for us, and I'd stay again. The rooms were clean, the grounds felt safe, and check-in and checkout went smoothly.

We've stayed here a handful of times. The first room we had was very outdated, but they've renovated and the rooms we've gotten since have been fine. New carpet could help, though it wasn't terrible. Our room was clean, breakfast was good, and there's now a small section where you can buy food and other items. They don't serve eggs, bacon, or sausage. The general manager was nice, and the woman handling breakfast kept the area clean while restocking. It's also pet friendly, which can be hard to find these days.

We refused to stay after finding water soaked into the carpet by the curtains and a strong mildew smell in the room. I'm pregnant, so I wasn't willing to risk mold exposure. Outside, construction was underway, and inside the hallway ceiling tiles were missing with pipes exposed, apparently for repairs running down the hall. The front desk staff claimed the wet carpet was from recent cleaning, which felt like a lie. The hotel was fully booked, so we had to find another place at the last minute after driving a couple of hours. It was really stressful, especially after paying $359 for the room. We ended up at the Odawa Hotel, which was much cheaper and much nicer.

We only stayed because we needed to be in town and everything else was booked. The place was run down, smelled terrible, and I couldn't find any staff. The carpets were stained throughout. It's extremely overpriced for its condition. Other pet-friendly hotels I've stayed at had hard floors instead of carpet, and there was no elevator.

We'd stayed here before and always liked it, even though it wasn't high class. It's gone way downhill. A place like this is worth maybe $50 a night, if that, but they're charging around $200. It was dirty, the beds sagged so badly in the middle that we rolled toward the center, and there was no elevator for the second-floor rooms. Breakfast was minimal, with no hot food unless you toast something yourself. Plastic covered the windows because of construction, which was about time, and the front desk guy said it would soon be a Marriott. Our stay was nonrefundable, so I feel ripped off. Don't waste your money, you'll regret it. We won't stay again.
