Room 42 in the A frame building faced the lake, and the bed was comfortable. There was a little kitchen counter where I set up my laptop to work after arriving. They let me check in early, which helped. I was there for an ice driving school, and the food was great and the staff terrific. Snowmobiles were the only noise. It seems like it could be a nice summer family spot if I still had little kids.

We came by boat for Friday fish fry and everything arrived on time, cooked just right, even though we heard the kitchen was down one person due to illness. The food was delicious, especially the clam chowder, fried perch, and steak, and the brandy old fashioned was mixed perfectly. Prices felt very reasonable for a nice restaurant on the water. I highly recommend it!

If you're hungry, skip the pot pie. There was roughly three quarters of a cup in the bowl, about an inch deep, leaving four inches of empty bowl, and it had no gravy.

We only booked one night for a quick winter getaway, but wished we could've stayed longer. It's hard to find a place that welcomes two Great Danes, and they had no problem with ours. They'd even left dog cleanup bags, treats, and a toy in the room. The room was so clean and comfortable. We loved it and will definitely return.

Our guests were very happy with their stay, and the staff made the whole process easy, from arranging a room block to helping everyone check in. We used Chanticleer Inn for our many wedding guests this summer, and the customer service was friendly and accommodating throughout. It's a great full experience in Eagle River, with a waterfront setting, lots of room options, full service dining, and even Bubba's boat rentals. I'm glad they now offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I highly recommend Chanticleer.
