Anna & Bel has a lot of character, with a warm, thoughtfully designed interior and pieces from around the world throughout the hotel. Everything felt carefully chosen, and the amenities and atmosphere had real style and heart. The service was welcoming, kind, and attentive. It’s in a lively, authentic neighborhood that feels like it’s on the rise. We loved our stay and will definitely return. A great choice if you want a distinctive stay in Philadelphia.

The location was convenient for everything we needed, yet the hotel still felt peaceful and comfortable. Our room was spotless, nicely designed, and well cared for, which made it easy to relax. Every staff member was friendly and attentive and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We had a fantastic stay from beginning to end and would absolutely come back.

Anna and Belle felt warm and inviting while still being very sophisticated. The staff were extraordinary, and the food was just as impressive. We had a wonderful stay and are looking forward to coming back.

Some staff were kind, and I’m glad other guests have had better stays, but I still feel awful when I drive by. I’d been excited to choose a local Philadelphia hotel with the aesthetic I wanted, and my in-laws even booked a room to support us. Instead, the way management handled my wedding stay left me embarrassed and hurt. Plans to come back for drinks, dinner, or special occasions are gone. I hope nobody else has this happen on their wedding day. Six months ahead, I emailed about photography rules so we wouldn’t disturb other guests, and asked if I could tour the property to plan how many people could be there while I got ready, including the wedding coordinator. The person who promised to follow up set a reminder and forgot, then apologized and said they understood the work involved in planning a wedding. Around the time I expected to hear back, I saw an influencer event in that same suite. I have no issue with influencers, but as a paying guest I wish I’d been treated with even half the dignity. The photography contact never replied either, despite my follow-ups. I tried to put all that aside and be present on my wedding day. While we were finishing our First Look pictures, a man, maybe a chef or part owner, came over and scolded us for doing something inappropriate. My coordinator and photographer had already gotten permission from a staff member before I came down. I had a permit to take photos at Rodin Museum, but thought we could do the First Look at Anna & Bel if there were no issues at the hotel. Guests had been cheering us on, which was very sweet. My photographer was clearly pointing her lens at us and away from them. We didn’t want to disturb anyone’s privacy, and we weren’t paying that much to have strangers in our WEDDING photos. My photographer got lovely shots anyway, including one brief snap of our First Look in the corner by the pool. The patio is tiny. We made the best of it, but it wasn’t what I expected, and I wish I’d known so I could plan the photos differently. The kitchenette description was misleading: you can’t fit a plate in the sink at all. The fridge was small and stocked with things I don’t think were complimentary. There was no microwave or other way to heat breakfast or wedding leftovers. The water situation seems to have been fixed, but I wish I’d brought bottled water to stay hydrated. At check-in, I was told the pet fee had jumped from $50 a night, as shown in my confirmation screenshot, to $150 a night. I pointed out the difference, but the man at check-in didn’t really respond, so I don’t know what happened. I brought my own flowers and vase to add a personal touch to the photos. They had a cute dog bed and bowls, though I’m not sure if they clean them between bookings. I’m glad I could have my dog with us while we got ready, but lots of hotels in the area seem to allow pets.

The gym and sauna were a great way to start the day, and the pool was refreshing and relaxing. It was also so convenient to head downstairs to a bar and restaurant. In our room, there were robes, comfortable bedding, Le Labo bath products, and a Nespresso machine with a Fellow tea kettle for an easy drink first thing. There was even a filtered water station near our room for free refills. So many thoughtful details. This was one of the best values I’ve had, and I would’ve paid double. If I come back to Philly, I’m staying here again.
