Cambria Hotel Philadelphia Downtown - Center City

Good location, a good price, and a decent basic room. I had to try two rooms before I got a TV that worked. I was there three nights. The weekday night was fine, but on the weekend the hallways and nearby area got noisy at times. The area felt basically fine at night, if a little sketchy close to the hotel. The main frustration was how little some staff knew. Front desk employees couldn’t find the hotel floor plan in their system, tell me the price to extend a night, or give basic public transit information, like how to take the nearby SEPTA Train to the airport, which is wonderful, cheap, and fast. Nobody even acknowledged that I’d needed two rooms to get a working TV. It’s not the end of the world, but an apology for the hassle is common courtesy. The elevator waits were often much too long and irritated people staying there. I’d come back for one weekday night if I had business nearby, but probably not on a weekend.

Even with the hotel packed for New Years Eve and Day, service stayed prompt and courteous, and the rooms were quiet despite all the guests and celebrations. We had a King suite. An excellent Valet from the Ukraine helped us to the lobby and connected us with someone for our bags. After a courteous, professional check-in, another person helped us up to the room. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The staff are true professionals who make guests feel special. This is a great place to stay.

The staff are warm and professional, and the hotel texts us each day to check that we have what we need. The rooms are clean and spacious for the city, with lots of nice accommodations. The gym is wonderful. There’s no pool, but we don’t care about having one. I lost my glasses in the gym last night. When I asked at the front desk today, Aki, a very friendly man from Valet, immediately went out of his way to help and found them. Big thanks to our new friend Aki! Loving our stay, and happy 2026!

The hotel hosted the room block for my wedding, and the whole experience felt smooth and comfortable. Everyone on the team was thoughtful, kind, and professional, and their quick, helpful communication made planning stress free. The front desk staff were warm and ready to help, while the valet team helped carry all my wedding items upstairs, which I really appreciated. My guests were happy with their stay, and everyone felt safe and comfortable. I’m grateful to the team for making the event so enjoyable. I’m proud to be a Choice Hotels member and would happily return to the Cambria Downtown Philadelphia City Center.
