They sent me to collections over an apartment I’ve never lived in, and won’t provide the information needed to remove it from my credit report. Someone in the office is helping commit identity theft.

I’ve lived in this building for over 5 years, and things have gone downhill a lot. Some of the front desk security staff are repeatedly disrespectful and unprofessional. I’ve raised concerns about Irvin multiple times, but building management and PMC corporate haven’t responded or taken meaningful action. Service keeps getting worse as rents rise. I strongly advise staying away from this building.

Wharton students, steer clear. I chose 2040 Market because the price and square footage seemed decent, and I deeply regret living here. The management is predatory and will take advantage of you. There were tons of break-ins while I lived here, including when residents had their deadbolts locked, so it seemed clearly like an inside job. The lease renewal terms and process are a major scam. They tried to lock me in without proper notice and extort me. I had to hire an attorney to fight it, and more than a year later I’m still dealing with it. Do yourself a favor and rent somewhere else. In hindsight, 1919 Market would have been much safer and better.

Don’t be tempted by the low rent at 2040. PMC is predatory and tries to collect payments for time after a lease ends. The building is known for break-ins, including ones that happened while people were asleep in their own apartments. Residents have circulated several videos from security cameras. I strongly advise against living here. You’ll regret it.

During the day, people have had break-ins even with deadbolts locked and dogs at home. It was happening almost daily. Residents were left scared and uninformed, and management gave us nothing concrete to show they were protecting our homes and families. Who was being held accountable? Update: As COVID restrictions began, break-ins dropped to zero as far as we knew. During quarantine it was an average place to live, not awful. In regular life, renters should beware. We had no way to know what security would be like once more than 50% of residents were away from home during the day.
