Riversuites at The Battery

The room had a fantastic view, and the free snacks and drinks were a nice extra. We also enjoyed walking around the park next door, which has a playground for kids. My husband and I came for a show at Rivers Casino, and the free shuttle there and back worked well, with short waits and very friendly staff. We loved what they've done with the place and plan to stay again.

The room was astonishing, with the best hotel accommodations I've had: a comfortable bed, great shower pressure, and a style that felt really unique. The front desk team was on point. Brandon was especially helpful and professional, and Salvador and Evelyn were phenomenal. Jasmine was so welcoming and polite too. This is the best hotel I've stayed at in years, no exaggeration. I'll stay here whenever I'm in Philly.

The room itself was spacious and very nice, but the stay was a disaster. We found the toilet clogged as soon as we checked in, before we'd even used it. After waiting about 30 minutes, someone came with a plunger but couldn't fix it. I had a dinner reservation in an hour, so I asked for another room. When we got back a few hours later, about a dozen kids were roaming the halls unsupervised. I let it go until midnight, then called the front desk. They said security would come, but the noise continued, and I had to call twice more before the kids left. It started again at 4 a.m., and I finally gave up and buried my head in pillows to get some sleep. At checkout, I found a scratch down the side of my car. I'd deliberately parked where there wasn't a “legal” spot next to me, but another car was parked there illegally, along with five cars in the fire lane. I told management, and they didn't seem to care. I'll never stay here again. Don't be fooled by the nice rooms.

My room felt like an apartment, and the bed was very comfortable. They also have self-parking and leave complimentary snacks and drinks in the room. There's breakfast, though I didn't have time to try it. My reservation said I'd have a water view, but I didn't get one. The reason I took off a star was a very loud party nearby. I couldn't tell if it was next door or above me, and I had to turn the TV way up to drown it out. They finally quieted down around 11 p.m. I'm not usually one to report this sort of thing, since I was young once too. I'll give the place another try.
