I’ve enjoyed living here, and the basics that matter to me are solid. The walls are thick enough that I hardly hear neighbors unless they’re having a party. I like the high ceilings, my AC and heater work well, the water pressure is excellent, and there’s usually street parking. Aldi and the liquor store are just around the corner, and it feels less crime-prone than North Philly. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful, and the maintenance team is great too. My first year was wonderful, but the second year had some letdowns. The elevator started breaking down more often, the 24/7 front desk went away, the pool never opened, and there weren’t resident events. Even with those problems, I’m giving it four stars because I really like living here and it has what I need.

Jamier at the front desk was excellent, and Chris, the building engineer, gave me lots of helpful advice about my car and other issues. There were some good moments during my years in the building, but things began to sour after new management took over. Moving out was deeply concerning. Within days of leaving, management went into my unit and took some personal items while leaving many others behind. They later acknowledged removing the items and returned them. They said this was based on an ambiguous phone conversation and “general practice,” even though there had been no abandonment notice and belongings were still in the unit. I was also told I’d owe daily rent for February despite having no February lease and not occupying the apartment. The matter was eventually resolved, but only after extensive back-and-forth, and the process felt unnecessarily aggressive and unprofessional. If you’re moving out of a unit managed by this company, document everything carefully and don’t rely on informal conversations. Screenshots below are excerpts from my move-out correspondence with management.

The maintenance crew and front desk folks are the building’s saving grace. We love you guys! The place isn’t terrible to live in, but there’s plenty to watch out for. The pool has rarely opened over the past few years, the gym is always dirty and out of wipes, and the so-called coffee station never has coffee. Elevators break, including the large one for moving furniture upstairs, which never works. The trash chute breaks too, and the heat and AC don’t work. There’s no electricity on the rooftop. They say they put on resident events, but they don’t. Management is nowhere to be found. Half the game room equipment is broken, with no ping pong balls and broken air hockey. The printers don’t work, and neither does the common area WiFi. On the very few days the pool was open, they closed the rooftop on beautiful sunny days for a “private event,” leaving paying residents unable to use their own amenities.

Since moving in December, I’ve had a great experience. The roof has a gorgeous view, and Michelle at the front desk is always cheerful and helps me with my packages. Maintenance has been quick to deal with the few issues I’ve had.

Aldi is less than a block away, and new businesses and food spots are expected to open nearby by spring. The residents I’ve met have been relaxed and friendly, and management recently hosted its first appreciation night with food and drinks, which was a nice way to meet neighbors. I hope they keep doing it. I moved in at the end of last year and have really liked it so far. The lofts feel spacious, with high ceilings and great natural light in the exterior units. Amenities include a roomy gym and a game room with plenty to do. I especially like the ping pong and pool tables, though I reported an issue with the ping pong table and hope management fixes it soon. The rooftop view is amazing, and there’s a pool in summer. It’s very dog-friendly too. I haven’t had package theft issues because the 24/7 front desk concierge takes deliveries into the mail room. There’s also a garage if you don’t want to use the free street parking around the block. I’ve enjoyed living here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a new place.
