The Tidewater by Sonder

I spent four days at Sonder The Tidewater for the Philadelphia Marathon, and the location was perfect for the race. It’s close to everything and a great deal for the price we paid. The apartment had everything needed to cook, do laundry, relax, and take it easy. There’s no key, just a code, and you can restock towels, coffee, soap, and other things whenever you need them. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone coming to Philadelphia.

The neighborhood felt safe and quiet, and the room had a private balcony with beautiful views. There’s a Starbucks and liquor store right downstairs, with a Target across the street.

We especially appreciated being able to do some laundry in the middle of the trip. The apartment was lovely, and the location was quiet, close to several grocery stores and cute restaurants. It was easy to get on and off buses to central Philly, with lots of routes nearby. We would have liked a little more closet and dresser space, plus some ambient lighting in the living room. Even so, we’d definitely come back.

For a fraction of what we paid at the slightly pricier boutique hotels later in our trip, The Tidewater felt and looked similar. This was my first time with Sonder, and we had a lovely stay in room 307. It was bright, comfortable, spacious, and had everything we needed. The amenities were great, and the place is close to public transport and a Target. Rittenhouse Square and the main shopping district are only a 20-minute walk away. I’d definitely stay again.
