Of the three hotels or motels here where I’ve stayed, this one had the best parking for what we brought. It was also the cheaper option, I believe, and the rooms weren’t bad. The bathrooms are a bit cramped, and they’re half baths, with the sink out in the room. They could use some work since there seemed to be mold starting to form, though it didn’t affect our breathing.

Breakfast had plenty of choices: cereal, a pancake maker, eggs and sausage patties, toast, pastries, muffins, orange and apple juice, and a coffee machine with great coffee. 👍 The bed was comfy and the room was clean, though it looked worn and could use a refresh. The strong mothball smell hit us when we entered and stayed until we left the next morning. 😞

The staff were really nice and kind, and the location worked well for me, about 10 miles from where I was going. The room was pretty good overall: comfy beds, working TV, a fridge and microwave, though only one lamp worked and there were dead bugs in the windows. Not the best, but pretty good. The pool is abandoned and there’s no hot tub, so the listing was misleading.

It was late and I couldn’t keep driving, so I asked for fresh linens and tried to get some sleep. I got out of there as soon as I could. I took pictures, though I wish I could post them. 🤢 The room was filthy: blood and hair on the sheets, blood and urine stains on the mattress cover, ripped and holey bedding, and nasty trash cans. Under the bed looked like it had probably never been vacuumed. I checked for bed bugs and was relieved not to see any, but kept expecting a rat or something to jump out.
