Egyptian Motor Hotel, Bw Signature Collection

The staff were kind and welcoming throughout, and they even accommodated my late arrival. I never felt unsafe on the property, and my car was secure in the lot. My Phoenix fam did raise their eyebrows when I mentioned the location, and there are homeless people in the surrounding neighborhood, so that’s something you may notice. I stayed at the Egyptian Motor Hotel over Thanksgiving 2025 and loved it. The place has much more character than a cookie-cutter chain, at a great price. There’s art throughout, from the lobby and café to the pool and party areas, and the rooms are generous. In my room, I especially liked the Jim Morrison wall mural, ball chair, and Marshall Bluetooth speaker. In the morning I grabbed a cup of joe at the front desk and sipped it by the pool as the sun came up. I’d book again. They seem to have fun movie and theme nights, which I would’ve liked to check out.

If you’re after music and a DJ blaring outside your door all night, this place may suit you. That wasn’t what we expected, since the booking gave no indication that this motel style hotel would host loud parties and music events. We got no sleep all weekend with people coming and going to party. Parking costs extra, and spots weren’t guaranteed because event guests without rooms were taking them. Street parking is available, but the neighborhood didn’t feel good. This might work for spring breakers, but I wouldn’t recommend it if that’s not your scene.

Really funky in a good way, with fun decor, lots of clean seating areas, a pool, and a firepit. It’s super close to downtown venues, about a 5-minute taxi ride to Mortgage Matchup Center. I’ll go back! Check @@sidehustlephx for events at the property too.

The mini kitchen was awesome, with retro appliances, and the room had plenty of personality and cool stickers and decor. There are fun games outside too. My husband won at Cornhole, while I clearly need more practice. A couple of quirks: the bathroom door didn’t really close, though I was with my husband so it wasn’t a big deal. The shower only has a half glass partition, so the floor got pretty wet. Also, it’s worth making a reservation at chilte. Dinner there was very good!
