Extended Stay America Phoenix Airport

Unless you’re paying the lowest rate, I’d strongly advise against an “extended” stay here. Over a two-month period, the nightly price ranged from $75 to $233. Management charged near the top end during my stay, close to $200 for a room I think is worth only $75. The building and room are worn down, with signs of cutting corners everywhere: stained, threadbare carpet, poor paint and peeling, a cracked chair, mismatched lamp bulbs with one not working and the other broken and hanging out, stained threadbare towels, and a very worn refrigerator. There was no included breakfast, and staff suggested going down the street for food.

Trisha and her staff made us feel welcome and cared for from the moment we arrived. They handled every request promptly and with a smile, and the attention to detail was a nice touch. I’ve had a wonderful stay, and their service felt personal and sincere. It’s rare to find that in a hotel. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for an outstanding experience.

Hello Arizona, Trisha was the GM, and the front desk was awesome. Great customer service and very clean rooms. Good place, safe space. I’d recommend it to anyone.

We arrived at about 3 am on December 4th and were told we couldn’t get a room because of the hour. We also weren’t allowed to wait in the lobby. While we were outside, a guest, a 6 ft tall Mixed Male who seemed heavily intoxicated, came at us aggressively, accused us of stealing his phone, and followed us. There’s a recording from the front desk: he walked up and used racial slurs. We called the police. The overnight employee realized he was aggressive toward him too, and then let us move into a room. The next morning, we went to the manager, Trish, but she completely ignored us. The man stayed there and kept watching us, while Trish stood outside talking with him all day. Another resident told us that Trish had also accused us of taking his phone. A month later, he had to leave, three days ago, after the BIG BOSS made Trish remove him for having police contact because of him abusing a girl. Trish had us kicked out over false claims that we were yelling. We didn’t want to talk to anyone or get near the situation, and she said there had been complaints but showed no proof. She had the police come to our door with another employee who wasn’t the manager, and they aggressively yelled at us to leave without explaining why. We’d been there a whole month, paying daily and spending over $3000. One employee kept adding days to our extension, and we constantly had to pay a negative balance. Trish discussed our living situation and repeatedly tried to pry and bribe us into friendship. She tries to talk to everyone staying at the extended stay. She wouldn’t give us a refund until we refused to leave while the police were there.
