Sonesta Select Phoenix Camelback

My daughter and I felt very safe, and we were within 20 minutes of everything, which was a nice surprise. Check-in was easy, and the room was spacious and clean, with comfortable beds. The pool was a bit chilly, but the hot tub was relaxing. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Phoenix.

The staff were really friendly, and we had lovely weather while visiting. It was easy to walk to restaurants and stores, and the peaceful, beautiful courtyard made this a perfect place for my wife and me.

This was my second time staying here for training. It’s an older hotel, but a good place to sleep, and I feel safe in the area. The front desk service has always been exceptional. When I got to my room this time, though, the strong cigarette smell set off my allergies, since I’m highly allergic to cigarette smoke. I reported it at the desk, and they quickly moved me to another room.

The hotel’s low price and location are its main advantages. It’s hard to find a cheaper hotel in the Biltmore area, and Sonesta Select Camelback is safe, clean, and close to lots of shops and restaurants. There are both covered and uncovered parking options, and both are free. The property appears to be a former Courtyard Marriott, with a similar look and feel. It’s fairly well maintained, though a little worn in places. Housekeeping is once every seven days, which feels excessive for a brand that isn’t meant for extended stays. You can call for a refresh with towels and coffee supplies, but most places have brought service back every 2-3 days. Of the three front desk employees I spoke with, only one seemed interested in the job.
